3D (CBCT) Imaging
Dental CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) is an advanced 3D X-ray technology providing detailed images of teeth, jaws, nerves and soft tissues, revolutionizing diagnostics for implants, orthodontics, surgery and complex endodontics by overcoming 2D limitations with lower radiation than traditional CT, offering precise planning for better patient outcomes.
This imaging service may sometimes be recommended in cases where more detailed information is required in order to make a thorough diagnosis. When paired with traditional diagnostic methods, dental 3D imaging can play an important role in creating an accurate diagnosis.
A 3D (CBCT) image may be recommended to you, depending on the extent and complexity of your dental conditions. After an initial assessment of your dental condition, if a 3D image is recommended it can be taken at your appointment for an additional $350. Alternatively, if you have not yet had an appointment with us, but you know that you require CBCT imaging, please select either “Dental Diagnostic Appointment- with X-rays” or “Dental Diagnostic and Treatment Planning Appointment- with X-rays” and you will be directed through the scheduling process. Once you have selected and scheduled one of these appointments, you should then schedule for an additional 15 minutes time for the “3D CBCT Imaging“, which you should schedule immediately after the ending time of your already-scheduled appointment.
